Was very excited to get my new smartscoop for my picky kitty. We have had the LM, and it was way too much trouble. I got the new design, with the new motor, black rake and rubber deflector. It's a great design but I think it still needs work.
First, the tines are too far away from the sloped part at the end of the box. Poops and such slip by and build up at the bottom. I feed my cat really good food so she has pretty small poops
Second, the rubber strip..Why the heck didn't they run it all the way to the edge of the box??? My cat pees at the corner of the box, and because the rubber strip is too short the clumps fall out on the floor. This was an obvious error in design. I wish I could figure out how to modify it.
Third, no manual operation???? That is really sucky..I put the falling out clumps back into the box but I cannot manually operate it?
These things aside, I love the box. I actually bought it after seeing how the company responds to customer responses and have made changes as a result. Of all the automatic boxes I have tried, this is FAR the best, now if we could just fix the little things.
I have really enjoyed reading this forum and can't wait to see what new changes they might make to make this the best box out there!
