General purchase questions about the ScoopFree

Postby reptile93 » Sun Mar 22, 2009 9:59 pm

I want to buy a ScoopFree but I do have some worries about it dying or just not working for us. Where is the best place to buy one? I know I can get them cheaper on eBay but I worry about returns. I've been considering buying it at PetCo just for the ease of returning it to the store if it doesn't work; will they take it back?

It looks like this is the new litter box for us (previously had a LitterMaid which worked very well until the very bitter end) but it's an expensive purchase. I just want to have my ducks in a row.

As someone who has had one for nearly 3 years, I can say they're a very reliable machine.

More importantly, Scoop Free is the very definition of good customer service. If you have a problem with your machine, they are very responsive. For the very few folks that have had problems, SF has taken care of them very quickly and effectively.

As far as purchase goes, I recommend Amazon. You'll find the best price, and you are well protected with them (as opposed to Ebay). Just FYI, the seller listed on Amazon as Brilliant Pet is actually Scoop Free -- so you'll get a better price via Amazon yet still have the protection of buying directly from the manufacturer.

Ah well, we decided to buy it at PetSmart for easy returns. It was on sale for $120 (came to $130 with tax.)

I just set it up tonight and moved the old box next to it- she didn't even look at the old box. Instant acceptance. And the motor is much more quiet than our old littermaid.

Thanks for the response!
