I don't know that there is a "new" Scoop Free.............unless someone else has seen it? I've seen different packages advertise (for instance including the hood, various quantities of cartridges, etc). but haven't seen any new or updated designs yet. I checked SF's website and there's nothing new there, nor at Amazon on their sale page -- so I think it's safe to assume you'd be getting the same tried and true unit that's been out for awhile now.

I think this may be more info than you actually asked. :lol:

A simpler answer would be no, I think they're the same this year as last.

They came out with an Ultra I think they call it. It allows you to pick the time between raking from 5 to 20 minutes and counts the times it cleans in a day so you can track how many times your cat uses it in a day... That was the only differences I saw. The Petsmart here is selling them now.

you are right it is the ultra and the site below explains how it is diffrent then the old one.
