Too Much Poop!

Postby oaftab17 » Tue May 22, 2007 12:48 am

I notice there are a lot of posts saying that the cartridge gets saturated too soon with urine.

My problem, however is with #2 - the waste storage compartment is simply too small. I find that in less than a week, my two cats completey fill up the waste part of the cartridge and I have to empty it.

Is anyone else running into this? How often do folks have to clean out the waste cartridge? Are there any plans to make replacement cartridges with larger waste compartment?

Thanks!

I have since moved on to the Cat Genie, but up until a month ago I used the Scoop Free. With 2 cats using it religiously, 1 other using it when I timed it right and put her in there when she had to go, and the last only using it during a blue moon... I had to empty the poop bin about every 3 to 4 days with a total change on the 7th day.

Dawn :)

I have 4 cats using 2 scoop free boxes and every couple of days I scoop the poop out! Kinda defeats the purpose but with 4 cats who seem to poop for entertainment, it needs to be done. At least the crystals dry them out so they don't smell. I change the whole tray every week.

While I am in the process of changing the litter, they all stand around, waiting to be the first one to use the clean box.

Picked one up used for $25 and keep it handy for weekly clean up. It takes a whopping 5 minutes.
