Yes, Dad O' Jack 'n Stan, I did get kinda CARRiED away, didn't I?
;-)

Sorry about the long delay before returning to the forum and reading your post. But, please ... feel free to use / paraphrase whatever part of my post you'd like for the Forever Tray site.

Since I last posted, I've tried the Dr. Elsey's Long Haired Cat Litter product ( which I neglected to mention in my original post ) in the Forever Tray that I recently rec'd from you via eBay ( Thanks ! ), and I find it to work well and control odor. This seems to be effective for about 6-7 days ( rather than closer to two weeks ) before it seems that my two cats become a little standoffish about continuing to use it. I have also purchased the Mini Crystals at WalMart which I keep in a Rubbermaid beverage pitcher and occasionally supplement lightly by layering approx 1/8" on top of recent heavier urine areas.

Actually, I'm embarrased to say that I have yet to try the Fresh Step crystals ( except initially in the cartridges, before I switched to the excellent Forever Tray setup ), which I know works well too. It's just that they are not so readily available in S. CA stores, including Walmart. I may ask that they stock it in the local Walmart as in other regional areas ( N. CA ) ... or order it online. I'm thinking that a number of people have had varying success with different manufacturers, and I appreciate the reports posted in the Scoop Free discussion catagory.

Best, Dino

Update of Fresh Step Crystals -- I found them at Walmart this past weekend for $11.78 for the 8lb. bag.

Looks like the price is continuing to drop.

Hi

since I can't get Fresh Step in Australia, I have found vPostAsia (gives me a Us shipping address). However, I am trying to find an online store for Fresh step or Ultra Pearls that takes Paypal. Most stores I can't enter my CC as it has an aussies billing address :(

Any help here?

I have been using a litter from the Woolworths in West Aust, but it gets caught up behind the rake a lot. With 3 cats I really want maximum use from the litter.

Have you tried Petsmart?

http://www.petsmart.com

They carry an assortment of crystal options, and I know they have stores in Canada. I'd try contacting them directly and presenting your dilemma to them -- you never know what could be worked out......

I can try but they don't ship to outside of Us or Canada. There are no options to enter an address elsewhere.

The shipping would also be horrendous.

[code]It sounds like we're discussing rocket science instead of cat litter.........sometimes I just have to get a grip and have a good chuckle on all the debates, discussions and "tests" of products.

I agree. Sometimes I have to take a step back and remember why I do it all. For my three precious fluffies of course!

One more for you guys...I've been using the Health Meter Early Detection Cat Litter (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.j ... Id=2811445) - more for the texture than anything else. This and the Dr. Elsey's Senior litter (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.j ... Id=2754844) have been my lifesavers. They offer a very clay-like texture in a crystal format. They both work excellent, and seem to have mostly solved my issues with my conflict at home (I LOVE my scoopfree and/or crystals, my children want clay, clay, scoopable clay, and nothing else).
