I would like to buy a reuseable tray for scoopfree

Postby mgourley » Sat Feb 24, 2007 10:16 am

Does anyone on this forum make and sell them. I've seen the posts on how to make one, however with 2 little ones and a busy hubby, that's not possible. Could someone get in touch with me if they do? Email...
mailto:gourley97@sbcglobal.net.

Thanks!!

Hi,

I tried sending a note to the email address you listed, but for some reason it bounced. :(

Regarding the trays, I've made quite a few for folks, and the feedback so far has all been positive.

I make them from rigid PVC assembled with PVC glue, then put an additional sealant on all the edges to prevent leakage. The boxes are guaranteed not to leak.

The lids are made from clear acrylic, and the metal tabs are clear-coated with acrylic as well to prevent rust. I use a "floating" rear hinge, which allows you to simply lift the SF up when changing the litter without having to detach the magnets each time -- and allows you to safely detach the lid with less risk of breakage if you want to clean it separately. The price is $59 plus $12.95 shipping, by Paypal, check or money order.

I am currently out of stock (there's actually a waiting list) but plan to have more ready to ship by late next week.

Please drop me a line if you're interested.

BTW -- there are several other people on this list who also have the ability to make you a quality unit -- I'm not the only one. Everyone has a slightly different approach -- but in the end it's just making a leak-free box that works with the SF, so I don't think you can go wrong with anyone's design.

Nope -- the auction just ended as I sold out. I'll be putting it up again as soon as I have enough made.

Just FYI -- Scoop Free would have no grounds to "make" anyone stop selling a product like this. There are tons of legal precedents -- for example Ford suing or "making" an aftermarket air filter or oil filter manufacturer stop selling a replacement product for their vehicles simply because it wasn't made by Ford.

I would also love to buy a "forever" tray for my brand-new Scoop Free. I just checked on eBay, and it seems that you're currently sold out. Is there another batch on the way?

Thanks so much!

With drei katzen I can imagine you'd need a good auto litterbox!

:D

Yes -- I'll be re-posting within the next few days. As you've probably seen from some of the other posts, I'm limited to the number I can make over any given period of time as I hand build each one -- and they seem to be selling out faster than I can keep up with.

I just picked up more PVC today, and hope to be re-posting on Ebay by Friday at the latest.

Great to hear about the forever trays-- I'll be sure to check eBay later this week. Thanks again!

I just re-posted on Ebay.

Just do a search for "Forever Litter Tray" and you'll find them.

And please feel free to drop me an email if there are any questions I can answer.

I guess you ran out again because I also could not locate them on ebay. Please add me to your waiting list for one from the next batch, Jack`n Stan's Dad. Thanks! :)

Hi all!

Sorry for the inconvenience -- I'll be re-posting again tomorrow -- just look for the "Forever Tray" on Ebay.

My wife and I were away for a week's much-needed vacation.
