I bought one of these from eBay:

Suncast Ultra-Large Storage Bench

Part#: DB9750
Size*: 53" W x 29" D x 27 1/2" H
Capacity: 52" W x 26" D x 22 3/4" H

Color: Taupe
129 gallon capacity / 17.2 cubic feet
Large size holds multiple chair cushions, garden and pool supplies
Removable storage tray is great for small accessories
Easy assembly, no tools required
Stay dry design
Long lasting resin construction

It will fit both of my Scoop Free units and provide a much more attractive place for them. I will cut out a hole on one end and hope Walt wont freak.

I know it may look unsightly in my den with an oak pool table and bar but I think my wife will find a creative way to decorate or paint it to make it look like a nice wood chest. We'll get a nice cushion for it as well.

For $160 shipped, it beats the $600-900 cost for something wood and custom made.

WOW that's a great idea. Either dressing that up or leaving it alone, is a 1000 times better than litterboxes out in the open :D Maybe when the the basement is closed off enough to put the box down there, I will remember this.

I've seen some incredible faux wood painting techniques that makes plastic look like wood. I have a great spot for it too that will look natural and be a useful bench near the pool table.

This thing really is nice:

This is another product that I just recently learned of. I think it's really ingenious and fills a need (keeps dogs out of the litterbox and can help control weight problems in households with multiple pets).

Pretty nifty idea, and I'll bet goes far to control odors even further.

I have the LitterWorks cabinet used in conjunction with my LitterMaid. We really love it!

https://litterworks.com/

I see they have now added a cabinet for manual litter boxes as well. Some great options there.

We've been using the LitterMaid/Litterworks combo for almost a year now and have never been happier (with a litterbox, that is). We used to have the Cat Genie and our life is so much easier since we started this new system. We've had virtually no problems with it at all. FWIW, I have the old LitterMaid (it's either a 700 or a 900), which I understand works much better than the newer models.

I can agree that the newer Littermaid boxes don't work as well as the older style. I bought the original series and upgraded each time and though the company was good about replacing one of them, the problem was that when they changed the rake, that messed everything up. I was constantly having to reset the boxes and that meant resetting the time of day so I could set the timer so it would not run at night.

I checked out the website you had the link for. It looks nice, but would not work for a multiple cat household like I have (4). Even when I had the Littermaid boxes running, the cats were very clear on which box they used for pee and the one for poo. I had 3 boxes running by the way.

One of the reasons I really like ScoopFree is how quiet it runs, unlike the Littermaid which often woke us up in the night.

I am glad that the system you are using works so well for you. Happy New Year to you and all, Betty

Wow! I'm surprised to hear that. I have three cats that use the same litterbox with no problems at all. I guess they are used to living in smaller quarters and sharing, as we used to live in NYC.

I guess I have difficult to please cats. LOL The oldest 2 passed on to the younger 2 to push the limits with me. What a vicious cycle they have me in. I love them dearly and do my best to keep them happy. Nearly everyone here I'm sure do the same thing as best they can. That's what I like about coming to litterbox central, good ideas and experiences get shared. I'm happy that someone made a nice looking piece of furniture for the Littermaid that is so functional too. Just for me, having experienced the Littermaid and the ScoopFree, I moved the Littermaids to the garage (should donate them) and just ordered another batch of Just the Crystals for my ScoopFree's.

Hope everyone is starting their New Year healthy and happy. Betty
