ScoopFree is an automatic box designed to be used with Fresh Step Crystals instead of regular litter

I ordered one a week and a half ago.

I ordered one of these direct from the manufacturer's web site on the 31st of March. I got an e-mail confirmation of my order which stated that I would receive a further e-mail when my order ships within 24 to 48 hours.

Well, now it's been about 11 days, and still no shipment notice.

I e-mailed yesterday to inquire about the status of my order, and I still haven't received a reply. So I called the toll-free number, and it doesn't seem to be active, or at least it's not available from Canada.

I'm starting to wonder what the heck is going on.

I noticed that the inventor is a member here, so I thought maybe he could shed some enlightenment on this situation.

Hi David, welcome to the forum.

I checked the whois record for Scoopfree.com and the following phone number is given: 312-440-1095. Maybe that will help. Please let me know if it doesn't!

Thank you, Jeff, but I called it and it appears to be a fax number.

I called the toll free # for you. They were surprised it's not working for you.

The correct toll number is 312-466-6000.

Regards,

Jeff

Excellent! I got through, and my order should be arriving any day now.

I guess the toll-free number only works in the US.

Thank you very much, Jeff.

Hi David,
It seems some shipments to customers outside the US are taking a little longer to process. I'm glad you got everything sorted out. Please call us again any time if you have questions, and let us know how the box is working out for you and your cats.
All best,
Alan

Hello everyone. I just wanted to report back and say that we did receive the litter box, and it was put into use a few days ago. So far, all three cats have used it without complaint.

On the whole, it seems to be working quite well. However, there does seem to be a slight issue with the litter crystals tending to pile up near the back of the litter box. We're not sure if this is just because the cats all tend to push the litter that way or if it's something else. It just means that my wife needs to periodically redistribute the litter evenly. Has anyone else seen this?

Its going to happen but the rake will push it out when it cycles. Naturally there will be a tendency for it to pile up there. If you have it on a flat smooth surface, a stiff 3-5 second sifting jiggle will redisibute it flat across the tray.
