Automatic Litterbox Central

Hello.

I am looking for a Purrforma Plus Jumbo Hood/Visor assembly. I purchased the new improved model of the Purrforma Plus Jumbo, non-hooded. I live in Hawaii, and that is the only model I could find locally.

I e-mailed PetMate customer service (responsive, BTW) and was told the hood will not fit the non-hooded model, and there are no parts available anyway.

I KNOW the hood will fit as the removable pan shroud is the exact same part in both models, according to the owners manual. This is the part the hood sits on. My non-hooded model even has the visor locking slots.

I am hoping that if someone out there has a Purrforma Plus Jumbo box that is inoperative, they might be willing to part the hood/visor assembly out. If so, e-mail me with a price. My ZIP to ship via US Mail Parcel Post (cheapest) is 96818.

Or, if you know of a source to obtain the hood and visor assembly, please let me know!

Incidentally, I like the new improved Purrforma except I have one cat who likes to back right up against the rake and poop. This causes his waste to extrude through the rake and kind of clogs things up. I am working on a temporary device to attach to the back wall of the litterbox to gently poke him with something sharp if he backs into it so he will be encouraged to use the center of the box. Once trained, I will remove it. Of course, he will probably just poop into and through that, too!

If you are still needing a hood let me know. I bought a purrforma last year and didn't pay attention that it had a hood. I knew that my cats hated hoods, so I never used it. If you still need one let me know and we will compare models to make sure they are compatible. Tanya
