Clicking/Grinding Noise

The Simply Clean sifts litter slowly and continuously. Talk about it here.

Clicking/Grinding Noise

Postby jaybee » Sat Dec 20, 2008 7:46 pm

I've been using the Simply Clean for about 5-6 weeks now, and I'm having two problems that I'm hoping someone can help with:

(1) Tiny poop pieces. I've read the other postings, and have just switched litter brands to see if that makes a difference. In any case, it's something I can live with, and just do a scraping across the top of the box daily to remove them.

(2) The clicking/grinding noise. I took the unit apart completely and sprayed dry film lubricant, as suggested on other posts on this forum. Maybe I'm not using enough, or maybe I'm not spraying in the right places, but as soon as I put the unit together again, the noise started up. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!!

I"ve got the same problem. Clicking, grinding and a squeeling noise as well. I've lubricated with a dry graphite but that hasn't helped. So far, I'm not impressed with this box. With all the small turds, the scooping required is nearly as much as just having a regular box.

Same problem here, just got the system a few days ago. I'm hearing all three kinds of noises (clicking, grinding, and squealing). The instructions say to call Customer Service if you hear the clicking noise, so I did, and they are sending me a replacement motor for the conveyor belt.

Haven't figured out what to do about the squealing/grinding yet (instructions say to clean the box better?)?
