Please keep us posted!

I'll create a subforum for it and move topics over if it stirs up enough discussion.

Thanks!

Definitely looks interesting. I'm still a little unclear as to how it actually 'picks up' the litter / waste. It also looks like the area available to the cat is a little small.

Love the fact there are no proprietary bags or anything. I wonder if it would work with crystal litter? :)

I agree that while this does look very interesting, the litter area for the cat seems awfully small. Not sure how good that would work out.

I do really like the fact that there doesn't seem to be anything proprietary about it. Just buy the box and that's it.

Not sure if I read the manual right - does it really continuously rotate one time per hour ? Even with a cat in it ??????

That is what I read as well. I guess maybe that's slow enough unless your cat takes a really long time.. but what if they start on the 'wrong' end?

Also, I think my cat might be more than 12 lbs, or at least put 12lbs of pressure down when he jumps in (he'll totally ignore the little 'groove' that is cut out)

Yes, but it should be slow enough where the cat doesn't even notice it moving. The best part about that is there is no noise every time the cat uses the box.

PetSafe's Customer Care Center # (1-800-732-2677) is in the online user's manual, I am sure you could call them to get answers to your questions.

BTW, PetSafe's Customer Care people are super nice and really know the products! (I called them once to get information on an electric fence system for my brother's dog.)

It looks like its way too small for my fat butt cats. I'm interested in hearing from someone who has one, but I think I'm gonna <gasp> pass on this one.

Cats are exceedingly sensitive to movement. Duncan tells me there is NO way he is going to get into something that is moving. I believe him.

I'd have to agree with Abbeytoo on this one. By the looks of that picture, my cats wouldn't have nearly enough room in that thing to be able to comfortably use it.

I think it's just the angle of the photo that makes it look like that cat has no room. I'll let you know when I get mine (It is shipping the first week in August.)

Hi,

Have you gotten your unit? Do you think that the area is enough for the cats to do their business?

:)
