The Simply Clean sifts litter slowly and continuously. Talk about it here.

Have they changed how the bucket sensor works? Mine doesn't have anything located in the area of the black tape in the pictures above. I can't seem to find a switch or anything that the bucket is tripping but it definitely trips something because it won't work unless it's all the way in. Just for grins, I put some duct tape in the area of the picture above, but it doesn't override any sensors.

Any ideas?

There is now a magnet in the bottom of the bucket, and a magnetic switch under the bottom of the unit. It should be easy enough to just tape a small magnet to the bottom of the sensor, under the unit. I've not bothered since I haven't had any problem where I thought the bucket was in the unit, and it didn't run, like I did with the older mechanical style sensor.

Thanks, I didn't notice the magnet on the bottom of the plastic tray. I see it now. I tried a fridge magnet but haven't been able to activate it yet. I might stop messing with it as, like you said, it rarely stops due to the tray not being pushed in all the way.

Thanks.
