Funniest Thing Your Cat(s) Ever Did

Ok, I know you all have some stories! I wanna hear em'!

For me it would be about my male cat Loki.

I think he was weaned a little earlier than he should have been so he has a tendency to suckle on things. I'm sure some of you have cats that do this as well, or did for a time anyway.

The funny part? Loki suckles the DOG. And even funnier is the fact that the dog, Charlie, is a he.

The first time I saw this happening I couldn't stop laughing for a good 10 minutes! I just kept saying, "Charlie, you're a mommy!"

Charlie didn't seem too amused, but he still puts up with it from time to time.

One of the funniest thing my cat did....

My cat was born feral and picked up in the woods by my mother-in-law. So, she is not the friendliest kitty, especially to strangers. We commonly have Jehovah's Witnesses stopping by our house....really early saturday mornings. One such morning I answered the door, groggy and tired, and I opened the door a little too wide. Well, my cat (being feral and evil by nature) raced out the door and attached herself to the closest object, which happened to be the poor woman standing there. Kupper clawed her way up her legs and left her running of fear from my front porch. I havn't had an early saturday morning knock in about 2 years. :) I guess I should say thank you, Kupper, for looking out for my beauty rest!

=<*>=

She is also good at keeping away the neihbor's chihuahua!

O.K. here it goes.... In general they are the most hyper bunch I have ever seen and will tear around at mach 2 going over couches, chairs, tables, and people indiscriminately and without a misstep or slowing down. They will do this for long periods of time all day long. It is funny and annoying at the same time because they don't care what they break, scratch or tear up as they are doing it and often 3 to 5 of them will be going all at once. As for individually...

Scabbers
-Eats Snow Peas and loves them.
-Sits behind my head on the top of the couch and waits until I am not paying attention and than drops straight down onto my plate and tries to grab any food he can. When I throw him off he licks his paws to see if he got anything good.
-Learned how to jump up and use door knobs so we can't close him out of rooms.
-Has climbed into the shower while it is going and licked my husbands foot while he showers and than sits there till he is done.
-Has to screw with all of the other cats and be into whatever they are doing. This has led to him and Keiara using the litter box at the exact same time. The same litter box that is with two cats in it going at the same time...
-Runs into the bathroom every time you go in there and does this very soft meeeettttt sound while barely opening his mouth and wiggling it quickly up and down and keeps making the sound in an attempt to get you to play with the laser pointer with him.
-Plays in the toilet water if you leave the lid up and use to play in the dirty CG water while it was running untill he got pinched.
Neo
-Electrocuted himself by chewing on cords no matter what we did to stop him and now is slightly slow and funny, but the sweetest cat ever.
-Ripped out 4 baby teeth after we had him fixed by trying to chew threw the metal door of the cat carrier while still drugged up.
Daria
-Shot runny stool about 2 feet through the air to coat my leg and foot 2 days after we got her (this is where she got her name, think Bevis and Butthead).
-Loves to be bathed.
-Will steal corn off of my plate or out of a bowl before I even know she is there. She LOVES corn.
-Won't drink water until she has pulled the bowl out into the middle of the hallway so you can trip over it in the morning and shoot water all over the place.
Cowena
-Managed to pry open an access panel in the bathroom we confined her to after we captured her and escaped into the wall and under the tub. We tried to capture her for two days and realized that by the second day she had climbed up into the attic through the wall. We later recaptured her there with a cat trap and she is very slowly starting to trust us and become lovable.
Bastet
-Sat and watched an hour long program on wolves one time. She sat upright and at the end of the table as close to the TV as she could get and paid attention the whole program. She has never done this before or since.
Keiara
-Walks like she has on a pair of pantaloons that are insanely huge while doing what we call Skunkin. That means she walks like she is a skunk with her back humped and her head and tail down. It is hard to describe how funny looking this is. She does this all the time and her niece seems to do the same according to my sister in-law.
-Has to be the ABSOLUTE first cat to use a litter box after it is cleaned or any new litter box we try (she was in the CG and using it not 3 seconds after I set it up). This has led to her and Scabbers using the same box at the same time.

I had one cat decided that the only safe place to be during a thunderstorm was inside a paper grocery shopping bag. She would freak out during thunderstorms. She eventually trained me to throw down an empty paper bag so that she would have someplace safe to go during storms :)

A few years ago I had a large 72G salt water aquarium. At one point I had the top off of the aquarium and I had just opened a plastic bag holding several new fish. I and was going to transfer the fish to a tupperware to start acclimating them to the new tank water when I heard a big splash. I looked down and through the front of the tank I saw my cat Nikki completely submerged in the water. Apparently she wanted to see what was going on and didn't realize that the top was off of the tank. So at this point I was holding an open bag full of water and fish and I had a cat that was struggling to climb out of my aquarium. I couldn't just put down the bag or the water and fish would spill everywhere, but luckily I had a bucket near my feet, so I set the bag down in that and stood up just in time to catch the cat (who had managed to climb out of the water by then) in midair as she tried to jump off of the aquarium. I ran, with a dripping wet cat, through my apartment and tossed her into the bathtub. I figured I couldn't just leave all that saltwater on her because I was afraid that so much salt might make her sick, so I decided to rinse her off. Cats do not like to be rinsed off. I rinsed her off as best I could without getting scratched (she still had all her claws) and then got a towel and tried to dry her off. She liked being dried off about as much as she liked being rinsed off. I'd wrap her in the towel and she'd dig her claws into it and come shooting out. Finally I gave up on drying her and just locked her in the bathroom so she couldn't drip all over the apartment and went back to the aquarium. There I found water on the walls and floor around the tank, and even water driping off of the ceiling above the tank. After I got everything cleaned up I had to top off the tank with almost two gallons of water... that had either been spilled or soaked into the cat.

And the funny thing was... she didn't learn anything. I saw her sitting on top of the aquarium (after the top was back on) later that night.

That is too funny. I saw a Funniest Home Video where the same cat was sleeping on top of an aquarium and fell into it at least 5 times on that video. I couldn't believe the cat kept doing that after the first or second time! You could tell it was different times by how he fell in and or got out.

Diesel is my 2 yr old Maine Coon mix. I recently adopted him from the local ASPCA. (Affectionately, the "Used Pet Store" Kinda like a used car lot, but without the slick salespeople.)

Anyhow, I had gotten some groceries and put them in the fridge. Being a typical guy in my mid 20's, I left the plastic grocery bags on the floor in the kitchen. I planned on using them later to pick up some trash or clean out the sandbox (Ye Olde manual style) or something... In the meantime, I felt like plopping down in the living room to rest off some of the long day at work and dealing with people at Wal*Mart...

I'm not sure if it was because the TV was left on Animal Planet or what, but I could hear Steve Irwin (Rest in Peace) narriate in my mind as I watched the scene in the kitchen.

(Australian accent)

The House Cat or "Felis Domesticus" is a fearsome predator. This ravenous little bugger hunts such prey as the mechanical mouse, golf ball, shopping bag, or the elusive laser dot. Observe his stealth! He's using his environment to hide his movements as he stalks this unsuspecting bag. The doining room table, trash can, and cabinets all offer cover as he prepairs a deadly strike.

Oh look look Look! He's gonna pounce on it!

*Cat pounces on shopping bag and wrestles with it for a while.*

Now the shopping bag is defenseless in most cases... I say most cases because it has these long rounded handles which it can use to ensnare the beast and ward off attacks. Once it's gotten in and latched on, the cat's deadly claws are of no use.

*Cat knocks over trashcan and bounces off of table legs and kitchen cabinets.*

It appears as though it works. The bag is the victor this time, and lives to see another day, sending the cat off with his tail between his legs.

(/Australian Accent)

So Diesel came to me, his tail held low, and let out this pathetic little whimper of a meow. I picked him up and cuddles him and scratched his head, calling him a big baby... This seemed to be enough of a pep talk to him. He hopped back down and went off to stalk the bag, seeking vengeance.

Diesel is also afraid of thunderstorms and being at the vet's office. He burrows his head into my elbow or armpit and shivers.

One of my girlfriend's cats, Simon is a large male orange Tabby DSH.

I had some hot dogs sitting out on the stove. I had grilled them and eaten my fill, I'd wrap up the leftovers later. While my girlfriend and I were watching a movie, we saw the silhouette of a cat come trotting happily into the room; head held high, chest pushed out... But something was sticking out of his face like he had impaled himself onto something or his tongue had grown to about 8 inches long and 2 inches across.

We also have two dogs. I have a PitBull mix and she has a Border Collie mix... They knew what the strange object was.

Apparently, Simon got up on the counter and got one of the hot dogs. He had come to share his catch... The dogs don't know the meaning of "share"...

A buddy of mine recently adopted a Female orange tabby. (He was told it was a Male until he took the cat in to get fixed. Apparently female orange tabbies are rare. Her name is "Puck"...

She jumped up on the counter where he had a candle burning. She smelled the candle, backed off, then decided to walk over it.

He was chatting on the computer when this happened:

Him: OMG. My cat just walked over a lit candle
Someone else: Your cat isn't very bright.
Him: She was for a little bit.
