Hey, Ab -- I don't think Lorenzo is quite a cat. Catnapped, thrown-out, rescued, and adopted at such a young age, he probably thinks he's a furry four-legged human and wonders why it took so long to get his first shirt! Then he's got a photographer as a cat slave... To get the attention away from that camera, well, he does what it takes: Gets that shirt on and does his thing!

You know, I have a cat that will wear clothes. Lucy doesn't mind collars or sweaters at all. I even took her in once to have those fake claws put on her because she was killing me with her kneading on my neck at night. Soft Paws is what they are called. She didn't bother with them at all. They stayed on for a long time. I tried them with other cats and they chewed them off as soon as I let go of them.

Lily loved her little sweaters and jackets. She was so tiny she needed them to keeop warm. She would get fussy when I would take them off to wash them. She sort of strutted in them, well, as much as the poor little thing could strut. :(

I have never had a cat tho that would pose like Lorenzo! Never had one that would tolerate one of those harness things for outside walks, either. I put a collar on Milo a long time ago and he promptly got a front leg partially thru the collar and he was stuck. He was not happy so we agreed that was a fail and I never tried again.

Lucy likely needed those clothes, huh. I've tried "walking the cat" -- Never was successful with them in a harness. The cats will take walks with me all around the woods but NOT in a harness! The first time one of my cats took a walk with me, I was not even aware of it. I had walked down to our country lane and someone driving down the road stopped and told me my cat was following me. She was the first but not the last!

Happy Valentines Day!

Nah, Lucy is a fatty and doesnt need clothes. I used to have a cat that had hepatic lipidosis, or fatty liver disease, and she had a tube coming out of her side that I had to feed her thru. (that hellish horror lasted from aug - apr) She wore sweaters to keep the tube from flapping all over the place. She didn't mind the sweaters. After she died and I got Lucy and Ruby, I put her sweaters on them just because.

this is what the put on her at the hospital

I immediately upgraded her wardrobe

Excuse the pics, these were taken with one of those old cameras that used stuff called film. Or they may have been poloroids. I cant remember. I took about a billion pics of the 2 of them growing up. Now I'm lazy and pissed off at all my digital cameras. I need some stock in a battery company.

proof that I am NOT a crazy cat lady
