Absolutely NOT!

Whew, that vacuum cleaner might suck the oldest cat right into the hose -- Minnie is only 6.5 lbs. Maybe the larger male cat of the house - Sebastian, he's about 11 lbs. would tolerate it. Years ago I had a supposed "cat friendly" hand vacuum . . . never did wind up being cat friendly. Can't even imagine using a regular vacuum cleaner (supposedly more powerful than the cat friendly version).

A dyson would suck up any cat and anything else in the way!
