Crystal Pearl Kitty Litter for Omega Paws?

Hey Guys!

I was wondering... Anyone use the Crystal Pearl silica kitty litter with this litter box?

I would think that i would be able to put the pearls in there then everyday just have it scoop out the poop then just replace the crystals once a month...

Anyone try this yet?

YES, ABSOLUTELY!

I generally hate using clumping litter anyway because I hate being reminded of the fact that my cats actually pee. I have two kittens and they both use just one Omega Box (Large, of course). Since the product design is relatively small in comparison to the functionality of other litter boxes, it REALLY helps to put crystal litter in there so that the kittens have less obstacles to move around throughout the day. I simply change the entire litter every month or so.

Currently, I use Fresh Step crystals. They're finer pieces of crystal and tend to control odor quite well. The only piece of advice I would give concerning the use of crystal litter w/ the Omega Box is to ROLL SLOWLY. The crystals aren't going to sift as well as the sandy, clumping litters out there. However, after a couple of gos at it, you'll automatically develop an efficient rolling technique.
