Automatic Litterbox Central

O.K., I've had the Omega Paws for about 2 weeks (got the larger version, thanks to advice on this board).

I and my kitty Satchmo love it except. . . the scoop ends up completely full (and then some) with mostly unclumped, relatively clean litter, as well as the clumps and poops. So I end up having to use a regular scooper to strain the litter out from the clumps.

My husband thought at first that I was rolling the box too quickly (and I probably was), but I've slowed way down, and this issue is still recurring. Now he thinks it may be due to filling the box with too much litter, but it doesn't seem like we have that much in there, and I want to avoid poops sticking to the bottom.

Anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts on how to resolve it?

hmm, I usually tilt the omega on its side and wait till all the stuff goes into the grill and then tilt it the whole way (top on floor). The only time I get a bunch of unclumped bits is because I went too fast or if I put too much in. I usually shake it so that the unclumped bits goes into grill. Check the grill itself, was it put the wrong way? I dunno, Can't think of anything else tho. Good luck, I dunno if this helps.

I haven't tried shaking it to get all the litter into the grill. Maybe that will work. And I guess if all the litter still won't go in the grill, then it means there's too much litter in there.

How many inches of litter do you usually have in the box?

BTW, I just found little poops on the bottom, even with all the litter. Oh well.

I usu. have 1.5 inches of litter in the box.
I don't know if you noticed it but there is a max/min fill line on the blue outside front of the litterbox (I found it a month later after I was wiping the front of the box. its the same colour as the box thats why couldn't see it). This is pretty strange considering that the litter is inside of the box and not outside. Also, it is pretty hard to judge whether the litter is at the line or not because it is on the outside (wierd).
I get the same problem with the little poops being on the bottom. I guess there is no way around it, I just dump everything out after month.
