Questions about Omega Paws Rollaway LitterBox

Omega Paw has an inexpensive, manually-operated litter box that uses gravity to collect waste in a tray.

Do you use Omega Paws Rollaway LitterBox and do you like it?

Questions about Omega Paws Rollaway LitterBox

Postby bojan56@hotmail.com » Sat Aug 28, 2004 1:09 pm

I have some questions for others omega paws users. First of all, does it really works? Is it just rolling the litterbox on the floor and voilà its done or i have to clean myself too after. And second, is this litterbox durable or it will break easily? Thanks for answers!

I will reformulate my questions :
1. Does this litter really works?
2. Is it durable?
Thanks!

My mother-in-law is using it. She loves it. She can't afford fancy $300 automated boxes, but the Omega Paws works on the same principle w/o the automation. I ask her all the time for feedback and it is alway positive. I ask her if she'd be resistant to going back to a regular litterbox. She explains that it would impact her life negatively to return to the standard box. I think it is great that there is an affordable box that works this way.

It works as well as the operator, don't roll too fast and use the right amount of litter. With the drawer being the only moving part, about the only way I can envision it breaking is if you use it in your garage and back your car over it. I supose the clips that hold the two pieces together might fail with time, but it would be easy to devise a substitue for them. And even the lack of a motor might be a plus for the real scaredy cats. After all the only good litter box is the one that they will use. Ultimately they have the last word on what is an acceptable bathroom.

I have a Litter Robot and recently it was down for repair so I went back to using my Omega Paws. I immediately realized why I didn't like it before. That being how much litter it used. Like more than twice the amount of the Litter Robot. :x

As for ease of use it's not bad but you have to mess with it once or even twice daily. The Litter Robot, try once weekly and that's with 2 cats.
