problem w/clumps sticking to the bottom . . .

Omega Paw has an inexpensive, manually-operated litter box that uses gravity to collect waste in a tray.

problem w/clumps sticking to the bottom . . .

hello all :D

I'm new here, and a new 6-month kitten owner as well. I was so excited about adopting my himmie that I went out and went berserk with cat toys and all the necessities!

I decided to buy the Omega Paws lb b/c of the positive reviews (and because I can't afford an lr!), but I'm having a problem.

Kashmire (she's a girl) likes to dig all the way to the bottom of the litter box to do her thing. She then buries it with the litter. My problem is getting the waste material unstuck from the bottom of the litter box. I'm having to take a litter scoop and manually unstick it anyway, which defeats this box's purpose :x

I'm using Fresh Step of Fresh Scoop (can't remember which is the right name) hard clumping litter. I fill it in between the two fill lines . . . any suggestions?

I did see a previous post about spraying PAM on the bottom of the box, does anybody know if this works?

Thanks for any ideas!

The Pam helps. (make sure the box is totally dry before adding litter) But what I also do is hit the bottom of the box a couple of times when you have it almost up-side down, and I can hear the clumps falling.
So, between the Pam and the thumping it works pretty well!

Sorry for a stupid question   You are talking about PAM cooking spray, am I right?

Do you think any other cooking spray (not PAM) will work??

Thank you in advance.
