Just got a Stylette Littersweep Ultra.

Postby Meatnog » Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:19 pm

Well, I finally got sick and tired of scooping out the litter. After reading these forums for a year, I bit the bullet and got the $80 Littersweep Ultra.

Within 2 minutes of setting it up, one of my two cats was already in it and layin' a stink bomb, so I don't think there will be any adjustment issues.

We'll see how well it works, I'll keep folks posted.

Well, it has now been a month and a half, here's my impressions of the lil poop stealin' robot:

1) works very well. The litter I have clumps nicely. I don't need to scoop much at all except sometimes to get a little leftover nuggets.

2) While loud, it isn't too bad for me since I have it on a floor away from my bedroom and living room.

3) The mechanism seems solid, no rusting or anything yet.

4) Wish the recepticle was larger. With two cats I have to empty it every 2 days or I get a zen poop garden.

5) Normal small trashbags fit in there fine. Which is great since they're cheap and easier than dumping and reusing (yes, I hate the planet).

Problems with Littersweep

Postby magster26 » Fri Jan 27, 2006 9:08 pm

I've had a Littersweep Ultra for about a month and it is a disaster. The rake comes out and flings the clumps straight across, hitting the underside of the flip top of the litter receptacle. The rake is supposed to, however, turn down and dump the clumps. It doesn't. Most of the clumps, therefore, remain on the rake ... only to be redeposited back in the unit (some getting stuck on this door, yuk). Sometimes the unit just never comes on at all but worst are the times when the lid to the waste receptacle remains closed and it flings the clumps and feces out onto the bathroom floor. Yikes. What a mess. I am sooo frustrated. I've called this company about 1/2 dozen times and keep getting transfered around. I've written multiple emails that are completely ignored. It's as if they don't exist. Anyone have any success getting any customer service out of this outfit?
