I have now owed 4 litter sweeps in the past year and a half. It is the most promising box but has major flaws which, if corrected, would yeild the best box for the money. Problems are, rusty rakes (there are two, one stationary and one moving), the retaining ring gets dislodged and jams the mechanism, the bowl is too shallow so the litter overflows and tends to jam the mechanism. The new modification has helped dump the rake into the recepticle which, as has been mentioned, is way too small. Finally and most importantly for me, the motor and/or gearing is poorly designed. Once the unit jams once or twice or when it is trying to lift a large load, it begins to snap LOUDLY. One this happens the mechanism is more susceptible to a recurrence. The basic design is great but the implementation is terrible. If the company would correct these deficiencies, they would capture the entire market and while the corrections would require expensive initial retooling, the result would be a bonanza. I have tried to communicate this to the company but have received no response.
