LitterSweep Swept Back to Store in less than a week

This machine, although it has some good ideas, needs to go back to the designers. It should never be sold as is. What a piece of annoying, miserable, time consuming, noisy, and frustrating waste of materials.

The noise is loud, I could have tolerated that. It takes the machine two minutes to cycle through, when it works correctly. I could have handled that.

I liked the way the little box with litter was easily removed from the machine and dumped. I liked the idea of the removable rake.

The rake position seems to take its directions from the loose fitting plastic edge piece. Since it is loose fitting, it doesn't stay in one place. The machine will keep cycling over and over and over and over until you have lost your mind.

Finally in total frustration I took it back to the store and bought a Littermaid with a removable rake for twice as much money. Littermaids are not perfect but at least I knew what to expect from one and that it would work. My time is valuable to me.

For the loose fitting edge piece. Went to my local drugstore and purchased two Velcro like strips. Have one attached left and right sides. Works like a charm and comes off for easy cleaning.

I have 2 of these machines, if you can live with the 'quirks' it is great for the money! It is also one of the few machines where the entire cleaning mechansism is enclosed. My male cat has IBS and the mess from that kills Littermaids and is a bitch to clean with all its 'nooks and crannies' unlike the Littersweep, which is a snap.

this is the biggest problem I find with my LitterSweep (which other than the rake getting caught from the edge piece moving is keeping up WONDERFULLY with our Four cats).

Just wondering how you attached the edge piece with the velcro? On the inside? Just a little confused, would you mind explaining a little more please? I think my boyfriend might sabotage the poor thing if it wakes him up in the middle of the night again with that horrid "click click click click click"
