I have a new Mega Elite Mega and at the very end of the cycle it makes a loud snapping sound right as it stops. This noice scares my cats. I looked under by the gears but for the life of me I can't till whats causing this noice. Can anyone help me out?

I'm not really sure what this sound might be, but whatever it is, your cats will get used to it. They are not even in the litterbox when this sound happens.
When I first got a LitterMaid, it was new and different and luckily my cat was more intrigued than scared. Now, she couldn't care less what sounds it makes. It's old hat now.

One of my LM 680s did this just a few weeks before it gave out. If it's new I would take it back, otherwise my hypothesis is some tensioner is receiving excess strain and will eventually give. Best of luck here!
