Regarding the switch(s) at the end of the track near the disposal bin. I have to agree, I took the good advise I found here and "flicked" them several times and got the cat box going again. Another poster doubted the need for the switch(s) However I differ, in my opinion these are reversing switches indicating to the motor controller that the rake had reached the end of the track. If you eliminate the switch and cross the wires you are bypassing a safety switch, then when the motor reaches the end of the track the rake jams into the end of litter box and when the electrical current draw on the motor becomes exessive the motor controller reverses the motor. This may cause shortened motor life because the motor is overloaded each cycle and if the overload reverser in the motor controller malfunctions the motor will burn out completely. My advice is to continue "flicking" the switch or take the switch apart and apply dielectric jell to minimize arcing and carbon buildup or for the tech savvy install a high quality switch, optimally a proximity switch. The switch provided with the unit was a "cheap and dirty" choice.
