What does the impeller look like?

Postby melanie » Tue Feb 28, 2006 9:59 pm

I am sure my impeller is broken because my water is not draining and I checked everything else. In the impeller area I pull what looks like 5 plastic pieces that might have been the blades of the impeller. So my question is what does the impeller look like - does it have blades and will it work without them. I am not sure if it definitely won't work now or I should keep trying and take the unit apart.

Help - I am so tired and just want to go to sleep. This is an old unit so maybe it's time to throw in the towel but I totally don't have the money to buy another one right now.

The impeller has multiple fins (I forget how many), and no, it will not work if they are broken off the central rotating hub, sorry. The impeller sort of looks like a round disk with fins on it - those fins are the "blades." :(
