WANTED: Dead litterfree box for parts

Postby globalvillageidiot » Sat Aug 07, 2004 10:45 pm

Does anyone have a litterfree box that is dead for reasons other than the pump/fan motor not working?

Alternatly, does anyone know where I can get a replacment for this electric motor?

Are there people out there with dead litterfree boxes that can be parted out until pet-centric comes back to life?

Thanks for any help you can give

I can probably find you a replacement motor if you can get me the markings / numbers off the one you have.

I appreaciate your offer. I'm not sure it's going to cooperate though. There are no markings on the electric motor itself. On the capacitor attached to it are:

CF355U25TS
3.5 uF + 10/5 %
350V.AC 50/60Hz
-25~+70
08/01

The impeller and fan appear to be perminantly attached to the shaft. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. I'm going to try to find a shop that replaces/repairs electric motors and see if they have any ideas. I'll keep you all posted. In the mean-time, I'm still looking for a dead litterfree unit cheap.

Thanks

Sorry, that information is really not going to help.

You're right, there aren't any markings on the motors. But they seem pretty universal. It's highly unlikely these motors were especially designed for this application.

Please let me know if you have a spare controller cirquitry board: I'd be happy to buy it from you to implement my software improvements.
