Is Pet-Centric out of business?

Postby shfwilf » Mon May 12, 2003 11:13 am

I tried to order supplies from Pet-Centric today, and the order form on the site does not work.

I called the sales number and nobody answered.

I called the main number and nobody answered.

Anyone know what is going on ???

Pet-Centric out of business?

Postby mcwillis » Tue May 20, 2003 4:16 pm

I placed an order with Pet Supermarket.com last week. Hadn't heard anything- so today I popped them and email. Their response was:

This is an update concerning your order for LitterFree products. The
manufacturer has just recently sold to another company. Due to their
reorganization - the solution and granules are temporarily back-ordered. We
are estimating that these items will be unavailable for approx. 1 2
months.

I really appreciate you letting me know about this - I was about to start buying and hoarding all the supplies I could locate! Can you let me know when you DO receive your order? Thanks!

Petco confirmed it

Postby zetta » Wed May 21, 2003 1:30 pm

I called Petco, and they confirmed the manufacturer they were buying from (presumably Pet-Centric) has stopped making LitterFree, solution and pellets. The customer support person said Pet-Centric did not notify them that they were discontinuing the line, and that Petco is working to find an alternate supplier.

In the meantime, I guess I'll stock up on solution and try the Roccal-D that others have mentioned.

I have about 8 solution cartridges, and 3 boxes of pellets, so I am hoping those will be enough to last until somebody starts making things again!

If I have to start making my own solution, I plan to check with my vet regarding the Roccal-D before actually using it.
