Automatic Litterbox Central

Just curious how loud this unit is while its running through its cleaning course. I've been considering buying one, but the noise level concerns me, because I have to keep the unit in my bedroom. Also, my kittens are only 6 months old, so I'm concerned it might scared them into not using it if its too loud.

Another question, does this unit plug into a regular outlet, or does it take a special outlet?

Well, that presents an interesting problem. How do you explain how loud something is?

It is quieter than a lawn mower, probably as loud a a central A/C unit.

It may wake you when sleeping, but there is a simple solution. Unplug it at night. I think that the constant quality of the noise is not that scary to the cats. Our cats like to watch it. But, no one can tell for sure how cats will react to things.

It uses a regular outlet. It has a wall-wort adapter, like on a modem.

Yes that helped alot. I have a window a/c unit in the bedroom anyway, so the noise shouldn't bother me. I can sleep through almost anything anyway LOL

The kittens are still jumpy to loud noises, but I think it would be best to get them used to it now while they're young. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't TOO loud.

If I had to compare the noise of my Litter Robot to something, I'd say it's about like my son's electric toothbrush.
