First signs of trouble

Postby hhg2 » Fri Jul 08, 2005 10:36 pm

Hi, All,

I've had my LR for about a year now and am very satisfied with it. (I posted a 9-month review awhile back.)

Lately I've noticed two things that have me worried:

1) The LR is now beginning to wobble a bit as it cycles. Is it possible the white plastic sprocket that engages the indentations of the globe is wearing out?

2) I've noticed some squeaking as the the globe rotates. Any ideas on what might be happening?

I cannot see anything obvious as to what might be happening and have not made any changes in positioning the LR from when I first bought it and put it into service.

Thanks,

HG

My LR squeeks something terrible when too much litter gets into the white gear teeth that turn the globe. Taking off the globe and cleaning the teeth fixes it.

A little improvement

Thanks for the tip. The LR seems a little better but I'm not sure all is clear. I think I will contact Lauren and see what she has to say about it.
