I have the litter robot but not the kick/kitty guards. Do I need to order 2 guards or is 1 for the right side okay?

I believe they come as a set.

On their web site they are sold $39 for one. Oh, maybe that is for one set. Anyway does anyone have them and are they necessary.

Yes, the price is for one set. Our unit has them installed. If you order the Litter Robot with the guards, they come pre-installed and are not removable. I think that's probably the best way to go, because otherwise you will eventually have problems with the double-stick adhesive used by the add-on ones.

The Kick'n Kitty Guards come as a set. They cost $35/set in black and $39/set in bone.

If you order them when you buy the Robot they come already installed. If you buy them afterward, they come with the necessary materials and instructions to install them yourself. There is no shipping charge when ordering them seperately.

Kick'n Kitty Guards have now become standard equipment on all new Litter Robots sold and will arrive riveted to the unit's base.

Black units are now $329 plus $35 shipping for a total of $364.
Bone units are now $349 plus $35 shipping for a total of $384.


Guards can still be ordered for Robots that were purchased without them. The prices are $35 for a set in black and $39 for a set of bone.
