Thank you to both replies ... I did need some reassurance :( A couple of kitties used it last night, but the third went outside the LR, so I had to bring back the old litterbox.

I've had mine for about 4 months. I have not had much luck with one cat. The other uses it intermittently. I've been working and going to school, so now that I'm off I'm going to try more creative measures. Willow has a littermaid that we've been using like a regular catbox for years because it just doesn't work. She's not used to the closed box though, so it's a major adjustment to her. Kaylee goes back and forth, but I'd like her to stick to the Litter Robot.

Getting all the cats to use the Litter-Robot

Postby Lauren » Wed Jun 09, 2004 1:56 pm

Delirium,

It might help to let the old box get as dirty as you can stand it and trying some of Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract in the Litter-Robot. Cats are attracted to the herbal additive in the Cat Attract, and they prefer a clean box to a dirty one. It's worth a try. Cat Attract Litter is available at Pet Smart and you can read about it at http://www.preciouscat.com. Many of our customers have had great success getting their cats to use the Robot with this litter.

Thank you.

I'm definitely going to try the cat attract. I tried letting the box get unbearably dirty and it didn't go well. She seems to hate the idea of a covered box, so I'm starting with covering her old box and hopefully she'll get more used to the idea.
