Blinking lights of doom :(

Postby jessiecapurrry » Thu Jun 16, 2011 11:09 pm

Can anyone help me?
I've had my LR2 for either just under 18mos or at 18mos, I can't find the paperwork or remember when we got it exactly. A week ago, I gave it it's bi-monthly bath, and after I plugged it back in, it stopped working.
When first plugged in, the yellow light comes on. It stays that way for a while, sometimes around ten minutes, and then if it isn't touched, the green light will come on. If the cats jump in, the red light will come on. Now, the red light stays on indefinitely, mostly because I don't have the patience to sit here and see if it will stay on all night. If I press the cycle button at any time, the yellow light will come back on, and then one of three things will happen (and this seems to be a random draw.)
Option One:
The yellow light stays on, and then clicks back over to the green light after doing nothing.
Option Two:
The yellow light stays on, and then all three lights will start blinking.
Option Three:
This is possibly the worst of the three options. It starts to cycle, and then once it gets to its first 90 degree angle, it stops. When it stops, it dumps ALL of the litter inside of the machine into the box, and then just stays there so that the cats cannot possibly get into the litter box.

Then, if we manually rotate the box, it goes back into its normal sitting position.

Please, anyone, help me! I am a full time student and my husband just left for Afghanistan. Unless I just unplug the litter box and scoop it manually, there is no way for my cats to use the bathroom during the day when it gets stuck. I just don't know how to fix it. I've read and tried every example I can find on this website, and emailed customer service... I'm just really hoping that someone else has had this problem and knows what to do about it.
Thanks!
