Lip extender and fence

Postby nevland » Sun Feb 28, 2010 4:38 pm

Hi,

I have had the Litter Robot for about a month now and loving it so far. Of my 3 cats, 2 are now using it, the third remains intregued but too nervous about it.

Of the 2 using it, 1 of them must not turn around, I have never seen him in there as we have it in another room but there is always a mess (always solids, not liquids) on the step and over the [still film protected] control panel.

Is it worth it getting the lip extender and fence combo to resolve this issue? I have looked on the official website and cant understand what the fence does and if it will obstruct them getting into the globe?

The delivery charges to the UK are going to be about the same price as the lip extender and fence, so I dont want to waste money on something that might be useless.

Anyone got this combo and can recommend or suggest against?

I appreciate any replies, thanks.

I bought this combination but never used the fence much, just the lip. The fence will likely force total entry into the LR but it does reduce the size of the LR entry. The old trick was to use masking tape to block up a portion of the LR door which encouraged the cat to step over the tape and further inside the LR. If you haven't already, you might try this and see what happens. You should be able to find posts about this. Scott may also be a resource.
