Yellow light only

Postby broken robot » Sun Jan 17, 2010 3:23 pm

Hello, to anyone who can help... I just bought a litter robot and when I plug it in the yellow light comes on but that's all it does. There's no noises, no movement, nothing at all happens. I haven't even gotten to the step to add litter so it's not too much litter or dirty or anything. Any ideas what's wrong with it?

Hi:
Since the yellow light is ON and the unit is not cycling and you just received it, please start by making certain the level of litter in the globe is at the "fill line" OR two (2) inches below the cat's entrance. If you are still encountering problems, let's make certain the cat sensor is at the factory setting.
Please remove the globe and waste drawer and make certain the unit is off.

You will see a black cover just inside the base. Remove it.

Make certain there is no debris on the safety line and then SNAP it a few times to make certain the switch is not stuck.

You will now be able to see a bolt that is coming out of a nut. This bolt should show 1/4 inch above the nut. If it does not, then adjust the cat sensor by turning what we call the foot/knob that is directly underneath the base until it is.

Put everything back together and let the unit cycle.
Please send me a reply to customer-service@litter-robot.com with the outcome.

shirley,

i just wanted to acknowledge the great tech support i received from your company regarding my problem.

it is rare that a company will seek out a customer who is experiencing issues with their product as you did. all i did was to post a description of my issue here in this forum.

after following your directions the cat litter robot is fully functional.

thanks again,

Litter Robot has customer service second to none!! I posted my concern and immediately heard from Shirley at Litter Robot who tried to assist and found it was best to return the base. I just received my new base and am loving the product! I cannot believe the service provided to me! Thank you so much! I would recommend your company and product to everyone!
