used robot just keeps cycling

Postby kanonapooh » Fri Apr 10, 2009 1:18 am

Help help oh help! On the advice of my daughter I decided to try a Litter Robot. I wanted to get a used one before investing in a brand new one. I set it up according to the instructions but it just keeps cycling. The globe rotates slowly but it is going counter clockwise. Went on for over an hour. I turned it off and checked to see if anything was loose but it seemed okay. I repositioned the globe and plugged it back in and turned it on. Same thing again...I turned it off and now both cats have used it. Is there a reset button or something that I can fix? Thanks for any help.

It sounds like it's not detecting the magnet in the globe to know what position the globe is in. That means you have to send it in for repair.

Hmm.

Mine has recently started cycling and cycling. It seems like it's calmed down and settled into position, but then it takes off all over again about 5 minutes later.

Is there anything I should check or try before going to the cost (time and money) of packaging it up and shipping it off?

Try adjusting the sensor (the front foot). If this is set too sensitive it can trigger cycling.
