Brush for Cat Entry

Postby Mima » Sat Feb 21, 2009 5:13 pm

I use a small brush to wisk inside the globe frequently but still once in a while the cats have litter on their backs. I have been searching for a flexible brush that can be attached to the cat entry without
interfering with the operation of the cleaning cycle. I finally came across the Cat Hole and it has a brush attached to the dome. It gave me an idea so I thought it could used on the LR.
I ordered just the brush replacement from Cathole.com. and hoped it would be an easy project to do. It turned out to be a simple and easy procedure.
I first cut the brush to fit the length of the top portion of the entry just at the rubber lip. Then drilled small holes just above the the door and attached with twist ties and cut them short. The brush is stable
and it looks pretty good. Now no litter on anyone's fur. (YaHoo!)

It worked great for a while but now the cats seem to duck lower than the brush so once in awhile there is litter on their backs. I think the bristles are too hard. I am trying to come up with a brush that
is soft so it rubs the fur not dig into their backs. I'll let you know if I find something.
