Got my litter robot today!

Postby lrogers13 » Tue Mar 25, 2003 2:50 pm

I found what is probably the only used Litter Robot on the planet on Ebay and got it for $205, including shipping. It arrived today and is in nearly brand new condition, but I decided to give it a good cleaning anyway. After it is good and dry I'll cover it with Feliway and then set it up.

I'll let everyone know how it goes! I'm especially interested in how my skittish cat Mandy does with it. But, it can't get much worse...she has severe litterbox behavioral problems already (definitely behavioral...we've had her checked physically). My other cat, Nub, will adjust to it fine. Nothing phases her.

Reconditioned units

Postby Lauren » Tue May 20, 2003 12:26 pm

Because we offer a 30 day money back guaranty, we occasionally get a unit returned. These units are cleaned, disinfected, and sold as reconditioned. They have the same 18 month parts and labor warranty as a new unit and the same 30 day money back guaranty. We sell these units at a $50 discount. To order a reconditioned unit, simply order as you would a new unit, but write that you want a reconditioned unit on the "Notes" section on the order form. You may also order by phone at 1-877-250-7729. There is usually a waiting list for reconditioned units.

Skittish Cat Success

Postby cas » Tue May 20, 2003 2:36 pm

LRogers,

I wonder how your skittish cat is doing? We believe (no camera documentation) that we have a skittish cat success with the LitterRobot.

Shadow - the poster cat for 'fraidy cat - is believed to be using the LitterRobot.

Since moving, the LR is in a more private area of the house. Lily no longer rules the LR. We had to buy some emergency perfumed litter at 11p.m. the night we put the unit in its new location. We can hear the unit run from most of the house - not annoyingly, though.

Why do I mention these things? Well, Shadow is Lily's regular punching bag. We thought the location of the LR in the new house might help Shadow use the LR w/o Lily's interference. This seems to be the case.

Privacy for Shadow is paramount. He acts like he will be killed in a great conspiracy most of the time. Privacy provides him a small amount of confidence that he may make it through using the LR alive. We think the privacy is working for him.

Shadow smells of the perfumed litter just like the other regular/known users of the LR. This smells like success.

We heard the unit cycle after the other two cats had been away from the unit for more than 30 minutes. We deduced that Shadow had tripped the sensor.

All of this evidence leads us to the conclusion that Shadow uses the LR - yipee? We certainly hope so.

How about your sad case?
