I have had my Litter Robot almost 3 years on the nose. It will be 3 years in September. Just recently I have found that it starts to cycle by itself, as if the EMPTY button was pushed. I have cleaned it, repositioned the globe on the tracks, and unplugged it. Nothing stops it from running the EMPTY cycle by itself. There is no rhyme or reason as to when it will do the cycle either. It could be 15 mins later of 4 hours later... After I unplug and replug in the Litter Robot, it goes through its regular cycle perfectly. I have watched the cats use it and it cycles perfectly. I have shaken it to activate the sensor, and it cycles perfectly. But sometime in the next few hours it does the EMPTY cycle and hangs there. This has caused our cats to pee on our bed the other day when we were not around for several hours. Any thoughts? Is there anyway to reset the circuitry, or is there a sensor I need to locate and clean? Or is 3 years all I am gonna get from my Litter Robot and it is now time to purchase a Litter Robot II?
Thanks In advance for any help you can provide.
