Steady yellow light

Postby johnhopper » Tue Jul 08, 2008 2:07 am

I received a LR2 as an xmas gift to my cat and I. She loves and so far it's been running great. I've recently encountered an issue where the unit displays a steady yellow light and no rotation when I plug it in. I cannot currently get the unit to cycle due to this. This happens with the globe on, globe off, cat sensor manually tripped, and not tripped. I've checked the pinch wire and made sure all the wiring to the motor looked connected.

I'm thinking it may be moisture to the circuit board since the unit resides in a bathroom.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the same problem with mine over the last week or so. I've been emailing back and forth with tech support, they've been very helpful but unable to resolve the issue. It does the same thing, yellow light, will not cycle with or without the globe in place. I wonder if it was humid weather too, mine is in a spare room but our weather has been very humid and we've not put the A/C unit in yet. As of this morning they have instructed me to box up the base, call them and they'll have UPS pick it up for repair, I'm still under warranty as I believe you are. Give them a call or send them an email, they are very responsive.

I sent my base back to the company, the email said 2 to 3 weeks to be fixed, I received it back exactly one week after I sent it out. Still under warranty, they replaced the motor and everything seems to be working fine now. I'm very pleased with the response from the customer service dept and even happier that I have my LR functioning again. :)
