Huge Thumbs Up for the LR

Postby watercat » Sat Dec 08, 2007 5:13 am

Holy Cow!
I've got two beautiful indoor cats and I've been scooping and scooping for years.
I've been visiting here for a while, and it seemed obvious that the LR was the preferred box.
The price always seemed too steep, so I put it off and off.
I finally bit the bullet and bought one.
I'm so very happy.
The delivery was fast and easy.
The assembly was too easy.
The manual is great.
YMMV, but both cats were using it on the first day.
I left the old box there, but they seemed to like jumping in to the fresh litter.
I waited to engage the automatic function, but now it's on autopilot and is amazing.
Every couple of days, I open the drawer and change the bag.
Holy Cow!
No more scooping of poo and pee!
This is an ingenious solution.

Sounds too easy, but for me it was.
I think my kitties are exceptional and that might explain the easy transition.

I have to agree. My cats starting using it immediately and its been fantastic. No problems or odor whats so ever!!

Why did i put up with a littermaid for so long??

I have to agree! I do not know how I could possibly function without this machine. Pathetic to non-cat lover's I know, but ya'll get it  I work, I have two real kids, two dogs, and three kitty loves, I just do NOT have time to deal with a litterbox everyday. Every other day is so much more doable, especially when all I have to do is change a bag, and possibly add more litter. :D

I bought a kitten for my high-energy cat as a Christmas present a couple of days ago. I had a second LR full of clean litter waiting for him and he jumped right into it like it was the Cadillac of litterboxes. His mere four pounds sets off the sensor so that was not a problem. Unlike the other cat, this one actually buries his waste which will be a nice change from the one who makes a mess in the globe almost every time.

Now I hope some night I'll get more than two hours of sleep. They're running around playing with each other all night long. I also have to figure out how to get the kitten to eat the kitten food instead of the adult food and get the adult cat to stop stealing the kitten food.

Hey Scott,

Congrats on the new kitten!
These tiny beasts are so wonderful.

I'm in to week four on the LR and I'm very happy.
My kitties had no problem adapting to it.
I am loving the concept of changing a bag every 2 or 3 days.
This product definitely works as advertised.
I still marvel at the genius of the design.

Happy Holidays
