Grooves broke on globe help needed

Postby TCWiggs » Fri May 11, 2007 2:34 pm

One of the grooves on my 3 year old globe broke and I am wondering if anyone has ever fixed this before? My husband wants to try to get some metal and cut holes that match the notches in the globe and glue it over the broken area. I am not sure how exactly he will do this but wondering if anyone else had this happen and found a way to fix it.

I am assuming ordering a new globe would be $$.

This was common for the globes I think. Mine did the same thing, but I was lucky to still be under warranty. Seems that this issue was fixed with the replacement. Call customer service, maybe they will cut you a good price. I also tried to repair the old one, didn't work.

I am no longer under warrenty with this robot. We just bought another one last month so I hate to spend anymore on them right now. My cats need two litter boxes so I want to try to fix this one. Does anyone out there have a old LR 1 globe they are not using?

Wait! I think I do. I'll have to check it to make sure it's not damaged.

TCWiggs has my old LR1 globe coming to her. I didn't have any use for it since I only have LR1+ and LR2 bases.
