Automatic litterbox with wood pellets?

Postby salmon318 » Mon Sep 28, 2009 9:06 am

I am newbie to automatic litterbox, actually I am looking for an automaic box that works with wood pellets. Is there any? I looked on the Internet but it seems most of them works with crystals only. Any help is appreciated.

Well, I can tell you for sure that the LitterMaid and the SmartScoop do not. I've tried it, either on purpose or out of necessity (when the bag of chicken layer CRUMBLES I bought turned out to be PELLETS when I got it home).

I know wood pellets run around $12.00 for 50 lbs. So does chicken layer crumbles, which DO work with the SmartScoop (they work with the littermaid, too, but I gave up on littermaids when I discovered the SmartScoops, and I'll never go back).

If you want info on using chicken layer as litter, check out my thread on the subject in the litter forum.
