Scoopfree vs. Litter Robot

Okay, I am trying to decide between those two now. Which one will save me more money in the long run. By the way I am going to buy the forever tray for the scoopfree, so I will only have to worry about buying the crystals.

Probably the Litter Robot. Litter will be changed less often and there's a greater variety of litter that you can use in the LR; therefore, you can choose cheaper clumping litter if desired. Up front cost for the LR is about three times as much as for the SF so you need to factor that in as well. SF is easier to clean although you may only be changing litter and completely cleaning the LR less frequently. For two cats, with the LR, I have been doing a full litter change and cleaning every other month (add a little litter and do a quick wipe-out once a week). I now have three cats and will likely clean it a bit more frequently. I tried the Scoop Free and LR with my cats during the same time period, compared them side-by-side, and kept the LR. Both machines are fine, however. Just depends on which you and your cats prefer.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.
