Would you buy it again???

I've become disillusioned with Litter Robot. :( I've bought 2, the 1st one broke probably 6months after warranty ran out and I bought a 2nd one since there were new features. Then, I checked into having the first one repaired. (I had dreamed of having 2.) But it seems like after I bought each one, LR came out with other features that I missed out on.

Anyway, I started wondering if anyone would be interested in commenting on any litterbox (or litterboxes) they'd used and whether they would buy it again. :?: I know this is similar to some other discussions but don't remember seeing if people generally mentioned this.

Quite some time ago, I tried Litter Maid after 2 different cat households told me they liked theirs but it didn't work out for us; ended up throwing it away. One problem I had was having to frequently replace the flimsy disposable tray. I tried lining it and reusing it but frequently spilled it or otherwise made a mess.

Later, someone with mechanical talents told me he'd done something, I can't remember what, that made the motor stronger and he liked his much better after that. And today, I ran across the Slide & Toss reusable Tray system for the Litter Maid. It's a permanent replacement tray that can be used with standard grocery bags as liners. And previously saw the Litterworks mentioned here, so I'm thinking of this again.

I may be eating my words...I bought it again!

I broke down and got a LR2 after reading about it and contact with the company. I ordered it on a Wednesday night and received it Saturday morning--super service. 8)

The new changes are so much better: bigger drawer, no metal clips inside, perforations on step empty litter back into drawer, on/off switch, no foam strip on drawer edge to name a few. :D
