How do I send a donation?

Postby currywood » Thu Jan 08, 2009 9:00 am

I am new to the board, and I have been using it quite a bit over the past week. How do I donate to the board?

Thank you! :D

The easiest way at the moment is to PayPal jeff at planetfall.com. Amazon recently discontinued their donation service, and Google Checkout does not allow donation solicitations except for 501(c)(3) organizations. I'm still looking for options. You can also mail a check; PM me for details if you wish to do that. Whatever the method, please let me know your username on the forum so I can make sure you get proper credit.

At the moment, the only "perks" I can offer to supporters are:

1. Advertisements are disabed when you're logged in
2. You get a cool orange "supporter" badge next to your name

I'm considering putting some donation buttons somewhere on the site, but I haven't decided exactly how I want to do that yet.

Thanks for your support!

Okay folks it has been a while since I have seen anything regarding helping Jeff while being a member on the forum.
Most have been thinking how we can help other causes because of the news lately but this site is also important. So
many good people come here to get good info but maybe do not know that they can send a donation.
Come on and help out and that way Jeff knows that we value this site!!

I couldn't agree with you more Mima!!! Over the years I've run across a lot of assorted cat forums on the net -- but none (none!) like this one. Thanks for reminding some of us "old timers" here that we need to not forget to let Jeff know how much we appreciate him, as well as to let some of the new folks know as well.

I'm sending a contribution today, and putting a post in the Scoop Free section.
