That's all I wanted to say.

Oh, and hide your eggs.

I beg to differ, especially on the creepy part. I have five, and they are so, fun. Their antics have me splitting my sides with laughter all of the time  . As, to stinky; if they are fed properly and their litter boxes kept clean, there's only a light musky scent. Thats no more then other animals.

Yeah, but how do they get along with your chickens?

They are indeed funny! I love the way they hop around. As far as stink goes, these guys had been descented and their box was kept clean but they had a unique smell that just made me gag. I don't know why. They also killed the owners bird. That was her fault tho, they never should have all been loose at the same time. You are right, tho, they are comical!

are they legal in Tx? they arent in CA but they are common enough that there are vets listed with ferrets being their specialty.

Yes, they are legal in Texas. That's where I am. All of my ferrets are Marshall's; descented and fixed.

Hey now!

We had a very sweet chicken, McNugget, that was a 2nd grade school project of my son's, but about 6 months ago my son decided he didn't want to take care of her, so she's now living with other chickens at a co workers home. LOL she was raised with just our dog for company. My coworker says that she really does think she's more of a stain bernard than a chicken  But yes they are very stinky! I can't say she was stupid though. Way smarter than one of my cats ROFL

I do have to admit that I think that ferrets are cute but I think they'd just be snackage for the dog :(

Meh. They're sneaky. Got sharp little teeth. Beady eyes. There's a reason they're not legal as pets in all 50 states.

Gotta watch those stinkin' weasels!

Don't let 'em near the babies!!!! :!: :!: :!:

Actually, they are legal in 49 states & the District of Columbia. Only California bans them, and I understand that the ban is not strictly enforced.

Betty MacDonald's "The Egg & I" cured me of any yearning I may have had for chickens.
