It's simply counting down the chip in the cartridge, not measuring how much is coming out or whether the metering pump is working correctly. If it's counted down to zero, the Genie won't run...which is not really what you're describing, is it? At any rate, my last PU also was a little fluky like this, as far as reporting low cartridge etc., but the replacement one has been fine.

Yeah, it's not exactly that it's not running, it's just not filling with water. I can get cleaning fluid to come out in the maintenance mode, clearly showing that it's not completely empty (the indicators only show that the cartridge is low (it's not) not that it's empty, anyway.

Hopefully they'll see their way to providing a new PU :)

quick followup.

I sent them an email. They sent a message back saying I needed to call them. I HAVE CALLED THEM. All you get is an answering machine. I can't respond to the email they sent me. I tried to fill out another customer service email from the site and it says service unavailable. Figures. Customer service SUCKS!

What else should I expect, they've got my money, why would they want to bother to help me.
