Thanks for posting your findings. Hmm...boy, this is how companies really shoot themselves in the foot...what if all the water sensor problems are from the controller overheating, and because of poor design, they not only have spawned a replacement sensor market, but possibly even the refilling/new firmware/OS market, and/or turned off how many buyers that just gave up? Unless every buyer that has a water sensor problem winds up here, but there just aren't enough in the warranty returns for them to pinpoint it. You'd really think they had enough data from the 60 warranties to recognize this problem, unless they just can't figure it out.

^ Swap controller boards or IR sensor modules between units... I'm willing to bet that it's the LED that's faulty. The Micro controller should be able to pump out 20ma no problem.
