Trouble Right Out of the Box

I did a lot a reading before I decided to purchase a CG and ya'll seem to know what you are talking about so I am hoping that you can share your wisdom with me.

I bought my CG from Amazon which means I have a month to decide whether or not I want to keep it. When the unit arrived, I assembled it and noticed a leak at the water hose where it connects to the machine. I tightened it and it still leaks. Customer service was called and I am getting a new hose.

The second issue is a "2" error after the bowl fills the first time. I turned off the power and restarted and it finishes the cycle fine. I called customer service and they are sending me a new processor.

The third problem is that the drain hose is leaking on the bottom of the unit. Customer service told me use glue (or duct tape?!) around the nozzle to create a better seal. I cannot tell you how disappointing it is to be told that I need to doctor such an expensive piece of equipment but I have and I'll know if it holds in a couple hours. Anyone else have drain issues?

I have read so many wonderful things about CG but I am really disheartened that there are so many problems right out of the box.

Sorry to hear it but welcome to the CG world.
Drain hose leak might just be from the filling hose leaking on you.
Duck tape will not stop a leak.
Good Luck

Did you use Teflon tape on the attachement to help get a better to improve the watertightness of the attachment? I doubt they would recommend ductape as that would do nothing. I have had situations where the hose leaked. It happened to me 2 times... both times were after a break down cleaning... the issue was I put too much stress on the hose moving the unit and it started to leak from right under the metal crimp. Do not get me wrong I think it is poor construction that it can not take the stress of moving to cause a failure. However, both times I call Petnovations and they sent me a new hose at no cost the next day.

After waiting over a week for a new processor and replacement for the drain hose, I decided to send the unit back to Amazon. I wanted to like this litter box with three fairly serious issues right out of the box, it just wasn't for me.
