This is very exciting! I hope I am chosen for one; I've got the money ready to be sent!

This is great news about this unit. I hope he makes more as there are many out here that would be willing to buy them including me.

Hi CatGenius,
I'd be interested in purchasing a device if any become available.
Fed up of paying over the top prices for solutions.
Thanks.

Yes, it does.
GenieUser wrote:Have you considered a simpler unit, one that simply says the cartridge is full and does nothing else?

That would serve no purpose at all. And you wouldn't know when to fill your cartridge then.

At first I would have to change the electronic circuit, change the firmware and retest everything. And the only result would be an inferior product at a saving of at most $10 worth of components. For the hand full of units I build, that's not worth the time and effort needed for making these changes. And even if was, I think most people still prefer to have a fully functional product over a $10 lower price.

Not to mention how hard it is to remote diagnose problems on a device with just one button and one light.

When they are ready, I'm sure I have more than enough devices to serve everybody. As learned from the previous batch, not even half the people registered will end up buying one. It took me months to sell the second half and I thought I'd never sell the last few. But I understand; I know it's a lot of money.

Well, put me down for 2 then, if that is how I get registered. Thanks for thinking of us. The remaining issue is how to remit the payment when the time comes. I do not see anything in any of the posts from before about that. I presume it will be a PM and perhaps using PayPal or something to deal with the currency exchange? You will not wait months for me. As soon as you tell us they are ready and how to contact you for the order and payment, you will have it. Thanks Again!

Meanwhile, I will have to look further into the CatGenius firmware since you updated the documentation. When I get the time and materials, I will experiment with my spare Processing Unit. I am not familiar with the software development aspect and will have to rely on the others for solutions as things arise.

That's because I'm not ready yet. I'm still working on assembling the devices. I'm a bit more efficient at it now, but it still takes time and I only have evenings and weekends to do that.

I'm not really taking pre-orders, or something. I usually send a PM to people posting, and I reply PMs sent to me. People who PM me their email address will be put on a list, so my friend can drop them a message when the devices are ready, for people who don't visit the forum every day. But there's really no need for a reservation system. Last time it took me months to sell the last couple of devices, this time won't be different.

Yes, we prefer PayPal. I think they take a big cut, but they are reliable and offer you protection, so they're worth it. Please don't pay anything before my friend in the US has quoted shipping charges.

Documentation still could be a lot better, but I think it's good enough to get you going now.

I'm new to the forums and looking for exactly this. It is for the CatGenie 120 right? Anyway, depending on the price. I really want one too!

I need a CartridgeGenius so I won't be exposed to the SaniSolution vapours anymore. After getting my first Cat Genie I came down with serous chronic sinus problems that where progressively getting worse until I was disabled. I finally traced it back to the cat genie, the SaniSolution and the drying cycle. I'm now emptying the SaniSolution bags down the drain and refilling with De-Ionized water and a bit of vinegar. Seems crazy to buy any more cartridges just for the RFID chip in it. And after the health crisis hell I just went through Plus my first Genie being faulty out of the box and the Cat Genie company wanting me to spend money for shipping a replacement control head..
Approximately how much will a kit cost? And keep me in mind

I just posted to your message on the other tread. A small batch will be available soon, and I suspect that he may not be posting here for awhile since he is likely working on them now. I can't speak for him at all, but I will tell you what I know based on the posts he has made that you may have missed. He is selling this batch at $99 plus shipping. He uses PayPal. He posted that it took forever to sell all of the last batch, so he thinks he should have enough for all. A lot of people have posted requests for one to a couple of threads here since the announcement was made. We have no way of knowing if he adjusted the size of the batch to the requests. He posted that historically only about half the people making requests followed through last time, so he thinks he should have enough. Given your situation, I hope you can get one. If not, you may need the beta Firmware. We should all know soon. He posted that he thought they should be available "half of February". Not sure if this was a typo, I'll expect it this month sometime, or whenever he can. I am grateful either way.

I am looking to modify my 120 with all the options that you have been talking about here. I am new to the CatGenie having only bought one in November. I know nothing about this thing. I am having trouble right now because my cats have decided after 4 months that they don't want to use it at all but I have a plan I hope will fix that, I hope.

I just read this and I have to say this is something I had not thought about. I got my CatGenie in November and I noticed I have been having sinus issues sense just after getting it. I have also been having issues with my right lung. It seems to come on when I am in my bedroom which is next to the bathroom with the CatGenie in it. I switched to the 'unscented' version of the solution however I am still having issues. Sense my cats have decided that they will not use the catgenie right now I was going to turn it off, line it in plastic, and put their old cat litter in it until they like it again. I am thinking that the issue may be that they do not like the smell of the solution either. I am hoping now to be able to change out the solution with one that doesn't effect me and the cats will like. If the devices become available I am interested in buying one. Just send me the information.
